A MAN who absconded from a Lancashire prison is believed to be in Brierley Hill.
Jamie Griffiths, 38, originally from Wolverhampton, was sentenced to seven years nine months in prison at Wolverhampton Crown Court in 2012 for aggravated burglary and affray.
He was sent to HMP Kirkham but absconded on Friday, April 17 and police are now appealing for help to trace him.
Griffiths is described as 5ft 9in tall with brown eyes, short brown hair and has a number of scars on his arms. He also has a tattoo with ‘RIP Ginge’ on his right arm.
Officers are advising people not to approach Griffiths but to contact their local police on 101 with any information.
