THE Stourbridge and Merry Hill branches of a national bank have finally ‘trotted’ up their charity funds from a recent horse racing night.

Dudley borough branches of TSB have raised £400 for their local heart disease charity partner Dudley Hugs at their recent event.

The money raised for Dudley Hugs will go toward their work in offering support and information to people across the borough who suffer from heart disease.

Kevin Dodd, chief executive of Dudley Hugs, said: “We are hugely grateful to TSB and its local partners in Stourbridge and Merry Hill.

“The money they are raising and the general support we’re getting is helping us to deliver really important services.

“Having major businesses like TSB supporting us locally is a great way of making our community stronger.”

The managers of both Stourbridge and Merry Hill branches paid tribute to the work of their staff at making the event a success.

Paul Saunders and Dawn Pomeroy said: “Dudley Hugs is a vital part of our local community and we’re really proud to have them as our local charity partner.
