IT’S beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Brierley Hill as a musical Black Country group gets set to kick off the festive season.

Cradley Heath Amateur Operatic Society (CHAOS) will bring the magic of yuletide to the stage when they perform Miracle on 34th Street The Musical.

The production – based on the 20th Century Fox picture – runs from November 10 to 14 at Brierley Hill Civic Hall.

With a dazzling new production, the longest-running amateur operatic society in the whole of the Black Country will melt the audience’s heart thanks to Meredith Willson’s book, music and lyrics.

The original story takes place in New York City, and focuses on the impact of a department store Santa Claus who claims to be the real Santa.

CHAOS’ performance will feature local thespian Paul Murdock in the role of Kris Kringle, while Stourbridge actress Isabelle Westley-Smith will alternate in the role of Susan with Kidderminster youngster Isla Tallon.

Redhill pupil Isabelle, 12, who recently appeared in the school’s performance of Anything Goes, also attends Neat Feet School of Dance where she studies ballet and freestyle and is a member of Esther Stanford Drama Workshop where she has performed in shows and short plays.

Miracle on 34th Street The Musical will be performed on Tuesday to Saturday evenings, starting at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee show at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 on Tuesday evening and Saturday matinee and £15 for the other evening performances. For more information, or to buy tickets, call the box office on 0121 585 7380.
