FORMER workers from the old Round Oak Steelworks in Brierley Hill continue to keep in touch by staging a number of reunions.
A group of former office workers from Round Oak got together five years ago and have since amassed 92 ex-employees from various departments to their ranks.
The group meets every three months and one of the organisers, Roy Sanders, has built a collection of albums and photographs which have been copied from the Round Oak magazine The Acorn.
Now the group is celebrating five years of reunions by staging a dinner at The Cottage Inn, Kingswinford, on March 2.
Anyone interesting in attending, or anyone who has copies of The Acorn magazine, is asked to contact Roy on 01384 265477 or Pauline Iddles (nee Tittley) on 01384 271430.
Round Oak Steelworks closed more than 30 years ago. In its heyday it employed more than 1,000 people in Brierley Hill.
