A NEW exercise class for older people who want to improve their cardiac heart health is set to launch in Brierley Hill.
The weekly ‘Happy Hearts’ class, starting on Monday (September 12) between 11am and noon at Nine Locks Community Centre, is designed for those who prefer to exercise indoors but away from the gym.
Instructors Kim Sproston and Angela Amphlett will be on hand to help the class increase their cardiovascular and muscular endurance in the standing group exercise and circuit workout.
The classes are suitable for people with controlled heart and lung conditions as well as people who just want to feel fitter in their retirement.
Run by Active Seniors, a not for profit organisation, the company has started a number of classes across the Black Country to give older adults the opportunity to engage in valuable exercise sessions and increase their levels of physical activity.
Free taster sessions are available, and for more information, or to book a free session, call Kim or Angela on 07512 546480.
