A BLACK Country mum-of-two is holding a charity night in Lye aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital later this month.

Becky Jones from Withymoor has organised the event - taking place at the Rainbow Cantonese restaurant in Stourbridge Road on Friday October 28 - to help give the hospital a boost.

She said: "After knowing a few people whose children have been looked after by Birmingham Children’s Hospital it's made me appreciate how amazing they are.

"I'm holding this event as a get together for people who love good food, have a interest in candles and more importantly to raise money for an amazing charity."

She added: "We have had overwhelming response from companies we have approached for donations of raffle prizes, so much so we are now holding seven raffles on the evening and two silent auctions.

"I hope the evening raises a lovely amount of money for Birmingham Children's Hospital, the staff and volunteers work so hard making children better and supporting their families."

Tickets for the event are priced £15 and include a three-course meal and raffle tickets offering a chance to win goodies including Yankee candles, a photoshoot, wine, chocolates plus tickets for a variety of events and evenings out.

The charity night starts at 8pm.
