Shoppers flock to spring fashion event

HUNDREDS of shoppers flocked to Merry Hill’s spring fashion event to find out what’s on trend this season.

The ‘We Are Fashion’ summer fete, held on March 24 and 25, epitomised a traditional British summer fair but with a modern, fashionable twist.

Free cake stalls, beauty coconut shies, a fashion-themed charity tombola, shopping discounts and chance to win a £695 designer handbag in the Hook-a-Handbag competition pulled in the crowds.

Mini-makeovers from Too Faced Cosmetics at Boots and hair styling by Toni and Guy were also offered to shoppers throughout the weekend.

Kelly Reed, Merry Hill marketing manager, said: “It was fantastic to see the centre filled with so many ladies looking to win some of our best giveaways to date and it was great to be able to give some lucky ladies a treat.

“The summer fete was such a successful way to mark the beginning of the spring summer season at the centre.”

The Westfield shopping mall is also offering fashion fans chance to win a £1,000 spring wardrobe through an online prize draw at http://uk.westfield.com/merryhill/
