A FORMER Brierley Hill man who emigrated to Australia more than half a century ago has issued a plea to old friends to get in touch for a reunion this summer.

Gary Morris, who used to live in Lower Valley Road, Brierley Hill, has not been back to the Black Country since he left British shores in 1958.

But the 73-year-old is set to make his first return visit in 54 years in June - and while staying with his cousin Peter Berridge in Wollaston he'd like to meet up with former band mates who played in the Pete Sheldon Rhythm Group and The Reg Kenyon Trio and any old friends still in the area.

He’d also like to hear from old school pals who attended Audnam Secondary School in the 1950s.

Anyone who remembers Gary can contact him at gary.morris5@bigpond.com or gmorris28@yahoo.com.au
