Brierley Hill charity set for funding boost

A BRIERLEY Hill charity for carers is set for a funding boost from big-hearted supermarket staff and shoppers.

Insight has been chosen as the 2012/13 charity partner for Sainsbury's in Amblecote after a vote by customers.

The charity, which is based in the old Labour Club on Pearson Street, works to provide support, advice and information for carers.

Sainsbury’s Amblecote manager, Vernon Dix, said: “Insight is such a worthy local cause and we’re pleased and proud to be supporting it over the next 12 months. We’ll be letting our customers know of our fundraising plans in-store and we hope they can join our colleagues in helping support them”.

The store will be launching the partnership by holding a charity auction at the charity's headquarters on Saturday July 14.

Viewing will start at 6.30pm and the auction will get under way at 7.30pm. Entry will cost 50p per person, children under 12 will get in free.
