BIG names of the British comedy and music are heading to the borough this autumn to be part of Dudley Town Hall's entertainment line-up.

The season kicks off with comic Milton Jones in his show Milton Jones and the Temple of Daft on October 2. It continues with matinee show The Good Old Days of Variety with traditional favourite Duggie Brown.

Music is in the air with Motown Club Soul on October 23 and Northern Soul on October 24 will be followed by American All-Star Superslam Wrestling, which returns during half term on October 29.

An adults only Halloween disco, complete with curry and optional fancy dress, will take place on October 31.

Entertainer Psychic Sally returns to the town hall on November 9 and is followed by Brummegem Pals, written by and starring Don Maclean and Malcolm Stent, in a bittersweet tale of friends serving in the army together.

Dudley’s season wraps up on a musical note with Soul Survivors on February 6 and Halfway to Paradise, the Billy Fury Story, on March 18.

Dudley Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “This is an incredibly strong line-up, with old favourites and some brand new shows.

“Children will love the three kids shows we have planned and I’m really excited about the new National Theatre Live venture which will allow people to experience the thrill of a West End performance, in Stourbridge.”
