ANIMAL lovers across Dudley borough will be able to showcase their top dogs at a charity dog show this weekend.

The event, being hosted by Rainbow Dog Rescue, will take place at Baggeridge Country Park on Sunday (August 23).

Starting at 11am, the family fun event features several classes in which pampered pooches could be entered in for, with the event being supported by a number of residents and businesses across the borough.

Pets can be entered into 16 classes, under the judging eyes of Catherine Hallam, of Hallam’s Happy Hounds, including best dog, best bitch, cutest puppy, waggiest tail, ASBO dog and the overall ‘best in show’ – selected from the 15 other class winners.

Winner of best in show will receive a free full groom, donated by Pampered Paws in Wollaston, while rosettes will be awarded to first three places as well as goodie bags.

To keep the whole family entertained throughout the day, a host of activities will be on offer, such as stalls, food and an agility team demonstration from Fast Forward Dogs.

All classes in the show cost £1 to enter, with proceeds going to Rainbow Dog Rescue. For more information call 07834 359453.
