DUDLEY North MP Ian Austin is facing criticism after he heckled Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn during a debate on the Chilcot report into the Iraq war.
Mr Austin interviened during today's speech by his party leader in the House of Commons, he is heard to shout "sit down and shut up".
As Mr Corbyn highlighted widespread opposition to the war Mr Austin, a former close adviser to Gordon Brown, Labour's last Prime Minister, is also reported to have called him "a disgrace".
Following the intervention Mr Austin was attacked on social media, people took to the MP's twitter feed to describe his behaviour as shameful and disgraceful.
Mr Austin says it is time to lay to rest allegations about the events surrounding the decision to go to war and that Chilcott makes it clear there was no secret commitment to start a war.
