CHRISTIANS in Dudley are set to take part in a wave of prayer in Priory Park.
Sunday's (June 4) event forms part of Thy Kingdom Come initiative started by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.
Last year more than 100,000 people across the world joined in during the 10 days between Ascension and Pentecost and this year, thousands more are expected to take part.
At the Priory Ruins, there will be a short service, songs from a gospel choir, giant puppets and entertainment from the Spirit of Djembe drumming group.
The Bishop of Dudley, Graham Usher, said: “Dudley Priory was originally a place of Christian prayer and witness making it a perfect location for us to gather together as Christians and praise the God we love.
"We will witness to and pray for all across Dudley borough and show the real impact we can have on our community by working together.”
The celebration, organised by the Diocese of Worcester, is open to everyone and will run from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
