Fundraising hog roast at Village Hotel
12:00pm Saturday 20th August 2011 in Dudley
A DUDLEY hotel is hosting a fundraising hog roast and disco in aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice next week.
The Village Hotel’s Head chef, Chris Williams, has organised the event on Thursday (August 25) from 7.30pm which will include a hog roast, barbecue, raffle and disco.
Chris, aged 47, said: “I do a fundraising collection on match days at Villa Park for Acorns but I wanted to do something more because it is such a worthwhile charity helping local children.
“It costs £7,500 per day to run each of Acorns’ three children’s hospices, so we hope lots of people will come along, enjoy the food and have a great time. We want to raise hundreds of pounds and hope the event will be a big success and that we can do many more in the future.”
Acorns cares for nearly 600 children who have life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families.
Tickets cost £12 and are available directly from The Village Hotel at Castlegate, or by contacting Pippa Dean on 0844 9808039 or emailing email@example.com
