POLICE have called off a search in Himley as part of an investigation into the disappearance of a Lower Gornal teenager, after nothing significant was found.
Over the last few days specialist officers and detectives carried out an extensive search of a private field off the A449 Stourbridge Road in the hunt for Natalie Putt, who disappeared from her Thornleigh home ten years ago, when she was 17 years-old.
West Midlands Police began digging up the land following new information, but as nothing was found they have called off the search.
Superintendent Andy Parsons, from Dudley Police, said: “The missing person’s investigation into Natalie’s disappearance will always remain open and any new lines of inquiry will be investigated.
"Anyone with new information should call Dudley Police on 101."
