A 21 YEAR-old Lower Gornal woman was threatened and robbed in her home by intruders.

The incident took place at 2.35pm on May 17, when the victim was alone in her flat in Spiral Court, Yorkdale Close.

Three young men kicked in her front door and ran into her home, before she was grabbed by one of them and prevented from raising the alarm.

Two of the offenders searched her home stealing cash, her purse containing bank cards and a Blackberry mobile phone.

A fourth offender remained outside the property while the robbery took place.

All four are described as black and believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. They were also all wearing dark clothing.

Detective constable Tina Lowe, from Dudley CID, in investigating the robbery. She said: “This young woman was terrified by what happened and, understandably, feared for her safety when the men burst into the flat.

“She was held down and was unable to call for help as the men searched through her things, before running off with a relatively small amount of cash and her phone.

“We want to trace these men and urge anyone who recognises them to contact us to help with the investigation.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Dudley CID at Brierley Hill police station on 0345 113 5000 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
