The June meeting took the form of the Jubillee celebrations. Chairman Enid Fennell complimented members on the imaginative way they all managed to follow a red, white and blue theme in their attire.

The greetings card, which had been on display last month, had been dispatched. After the necessary buisness had been completed and announcements of forthcoming Federation events made, the party began.

First came the national anthem, sung with enthusiasm, followed by everyone reading the officially approved Jubilee Grace.

Joan harris proposed the loyal toast, then the evening continued with a red, white and blue themed sales table.

There were eight raffle prizes, the winners being Joyce Robins, Mavis James, Joan Bushell, Pearl Jones, Frankie baker, Margaret Homer, marion Allman and Sue Cotterell.

Mrs Fennel closed the meeting and thanked everyone who helped.

The next meeting will be on July 9, Graham Fisher will be talking on the jewels on the cut.

Visitors and potential new members will be very welcome at the community centre.
