THREE big-hearted Kingswinford students have handed over nearly £300 to the HelpHarryHelpOthers charity.
Chloe Gawn, Kirsty Workman and Emily Goodyear from The Kingswinford School were inspired to make and sell bracelets for the charity - set up by selfless Birmingham school pupil Harry Moseley who died of a brain tumour in October 2011.
The year ten girls spent several weeks making the beaded bracelets in their own time and then sold them to fellow students after hearing how 11-year-old Harry began making bracelets as a way of raising awareness of brain cancer and charity cash to help children and families affected by the disease and other cancers.
The entrepreneurial youngsters then invited Harry's mum, Georgina Moseley, into the Water Street school to collect a cheque for £295.65 on Monday May 12.
Donna Castle, head of year ten, said: "It was lovely to have Mrs Moseley visit the school to receive the cheque in person during a presentation in a special assembly and the occasion was shared by year nine and year ten students.
"I am extremely proud of the girls; they have done all of the hard work themselves and learnt a lot in doing so. They are an inspiration to other young people."
