The guild met on miserable evening for the first meeting of 2015 .

Chairman Enid Fennell began by wishing everyone a happy new year.

The speaker, Patricia Boyd had sent a message to say that her arrival may be a little delayed, so, after the usual formal business, the business usually done before the meeting closed was carried out before she arrived.

Thanks were extended to Joy and Wendy for washing up and to Brenda Greenaway for providing flowers to brighten the room. Mavis James won the raffle.

The various sections announced their forthcoming events ,which seemed to involve a lot of lunches and a fish and chip supper ,as at this time of year each group holds an annual lunch. Mrs Boyd’s talk was very interesting and very much enjoyed by members. She was thanked by Chris Groves.

The next meeting will be on the second Monday in February at the Community Centre in High Street ,Kingswinford .Visitors and new members will be welcome.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm, but if you want a cup of tea ,come a little earlier.
