The first meeting of the year was to decide the future of the Society, over 30 people attended.
It was proposed and accepted that the Society should continue and the following were duly elected to form a committee:- Joyce Burns, Betty Holding, Ena Jones, Maggie Jones and Ron Julian.
It was hoped that some new members would be co-opted onto the committee to ensure that the society’s continued after its 24th year.
The next meeting at 7.30 pm on February 2 will hear Terry Church speak on “Radio and Television in the 1950s and 60s – entertainment as we knew it.”
Meetings, normally on the first Monday in the month, are held at the Kingswinford Community Centre, High Street, Kingswinford.
All interested in local history and a social occasion are welcome and It is hoped that a good number will attend.
