PUPILS at a Kingswinford primary school have been making a change to raise awareness of a Unicef campaign.
Dingle Community Primary School, in Madeley Road, has been taking part in Unicef UK’s Day for Change campaign and has been running lessons and activities to help change children’s lives.
Throughout this week, pupils have been involved in various activities which staff have organised to make them aware of the difficulties other children experience around the world.
Deputy headteacher, Ken Hughes, said: “The children have been shocked to hear that there are children in other countries who don’t have names, let alone houses.”
The campaign, in its 25th year, offers children a chance to learn about what life is like for other children around the world and aims to inspire them to make a difference.
Unicef aims to raises funds through donations from individuals, organisations and companies to lobby and campaign to keep children safe.
