The first meeting of the year, 2015, took place on February 5.
Chairman Sheila Evans welcomed all members, several visitors and said how lovely it was to see two members who had recently undergone major surgery. She reminded the committee the meeting would be on February 19.
The secretary and treasurer gave their reports. Sheila welcomed the speaker, Terry Church, who had stepped in at very short notice.
Terry is a local lad having grown up in Wall Heath. He talked about his childhood, his home, his schooling, going to church and humorous anecdotes about local people he knew whilst growing up.
Ena Baker and a visitor won raffle prizes. The next meeting will be at The Royal British Legion, Kingswinford, on March 5, at 7.45pm. Members old and new will receive a warm welcome.
