Kingswinford TG

It may have been an overcast and wet evening outside ,but inside the Community Centre in Kingswinford all was bright and cheerful. Sue Wilson provided flowers to brighten the room.

Following the necessary formal business, Terry Church regaled us with anecdotes which were incredible but true . Some were domestic ,some based on newspaper clippings and at least one was international. The title of his talk was "You could not make it up" and it was very aptly named. There was lively discussion as many items struck a chord with members or caused angry disbelief.

He was thanked on our behalf by Josie Smith.

Forthcoming events were announced including afternoon tea a Himley Hall and our own party in June to celebrate The Queen’s birthday. It was agreed the Guild would send a birthday card to Her Majesty.

The ramblers will go for a Bluebell Walk for their next outing ,probably at Saltwells as they are usually very prolific there. The Wednesday club will be busy with their Handicrafts whilst discussing future plans.

Mavis offered to wash up. Raffle prizes were won by Brenda Greenaway and Margaret Farmer.
