Kingswinford Ladies Social Circle.
The meeting took place on April 7 and chairman Sheila Evans welcomed all members and visitors. Apologies accepted and business matters read, approved and signed.
Sheila asked members if they were interested in a theatre visit and a summer luncheon. Janet Yates thanked everyone for their love and support during her recent stay in hospital and during her sister Audrey’s illness and death.
The entertainment was provided by a local choir "Singing For Pleasure".
Their first two items were dedicated to our beloved ex chairman and treasurer Audrey Phipps who passed away in February.
The musical items were many and varied, with duets and solos and compared
by Ken West who added humour to the proceedings.
Ena Baker gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the ladies expressing what an enjoyable concert it had been with songs for everyone.
There were two raffle prize winners.
The next meeting will be on May 5 at 7.45 pm, at The Royal British Legion, Kingswinford.
New members always welcome.
