RESIDENTS in Kingswinford are invited to a fun-packed family afternoon to mark the Queen's milestone birthday.
The High Acres Community Association has organised the Her Royal High Acres event, taking place from 1pm on Saturday June 11, which will include stalls, mascots, live music, a bucking bronco, bouncy castle and a foam machine.
The event, funded thanks to a grant of around £1,500 from Dudley Council's community forum, is the first organised by the new community association - it is also believed to be the first in the calendar taking place as part of this year's Black Country Festival.
Councillor Paul Brothwood, chairman of the association, said: “The committee have worked hard to ensure the whole community is involved including local businesses.
"The emergency services will also be coming along to support us and display some of the great work they do in our community.”
Recently-elected Wordsley councillor Kerry Lewis added: “I must thank all the volunteers and the community for showing such support for this event.
"There will be plenty of activities for everyone and food. I am looking forward to seeing local musicians entertain us throughout the day."
