DUDLEY Kingswinford Rugby Football Club has unveiled its new look stand after welcoming a new sponsor for the 2016/17 season.

Stourbridge law firm Wall James Chappell, which is already the main sponsor on the first team’s shirts, has extended its support onto the club's stand.

The new look stand was officially unveiled recently by British and Irish Lions legend, Willie John McBride, together with chairman Ken Crane and James Rousell, a partner at Wall James Chappell.

After unveiling the stand, Mr McBride, who played more than 60 times for Ireland and went on five British Lions’ tours, charmed guests at the club’s annual corporate luncheon with his tales and anecdotes from the world of rugby.

Mr Rousell said his company was “delighted” to increase their sponsorship and support of the Swindon Road club.

He said: “It`s a fantastic club with a real community spirit. The new stand looks fantastic and hopefully demonstrates our ongoing and continued commitment to the club moving forward.

“It was a pleasure to meet Willie John McBride and for him to unveil our new stand advert, was a true honour.”

Mr Crane added: “We are extremely grateful to Wall James Chappell for their ongoing sponsorship of the rugby club.

“We are keen to forge links with local businesses and our historical relationship with Wall James Chappell shows how rugby, business and the wider community can work together in a mutually beneficial way.”
