BLACK Country fundraising queen Gwen Timmins MBE is hoping to raise cash for Birmingham Children’s Hospital with her latest charity events.

The first, taking place tomorrow (Saturday October 8) at the High Acres pub in Rangeways Road, Kingswinford, is a country and Irish event with award-winning artist Peter Mylett.

Running from 8pm until late – the event will feature tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Tickets, priced £3 each, can be bought direct from the pub.

Her second fundraiser will see the Ashmore Park Choir performing at Bromley Hills Primary School, Granville Drive, Kingswinford, on Friday October 21, starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 and light refreshments will be available.

All proceeds from both events will go to help young leukaemia patients at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
