AROUND 15,000 people flocked to Netherton to enjoy the 30th Black Country Boating Festival.
Heavy rain brought a slow the start for the event - at Bumble Hole, Windmill End on Saturday - but the crowds built up as the sun came out and grew over the weekend.
Festival director Paddy Grice said: "It was a real community and boating festival and was bigger than ever for our 30th anniversary, with a second music stage set up.
"There was music all day, with local and new bands playing, ending up with an 'open mic' session.
"The festival also provided a platform for local charities, including the Air Ambulance and the Mayor's Charities Appeal.
"It was very successful."
Around 90 boats attended, with more calling in as they passed through, and there were boaters' competitions, a fun fair, real ale bar and regular boat trips.
