HUNDREDS of children got up close and personal to a variety of wildlife at an animal day held at a Dudley nature reserve.

The Bumble Hole Conservation Group held a Animal Day and Wildlife Roadshow at the Bumble Hole Nature Reserve visitor centre on August 16.

During the event, families were taken on guided nature walks, took part in pond dipping and saw birds of prey, as well as taking part in nature themed craft activities.

Dudley Zoo also took along small animals for children to meet during the afternoon.

Terry Evans, Group vice chair, said: “It was an excellent day, we had lots of families turn up to enjoy a really good day together.”

For more information about the ongoing work at the reserve contact the centre on 01384 814100.
