AN outline plan to build new homes on a former haulage firm site off Corbyns Hall Lane, Pensnett, has been given the go-ahead.
Dudley’s development control committee approved the outline residential development plan, submitted by Buckie Properties, at Monday’s meeting at The Council House.
The former Male and Son (Pensnett) Ltd site, which comprises a large yard and associated buildings, has been plagued by anti-social behaviour for a number of years – according to ward councillor John Martin, who said: “Residents that have contacted local councillors have been calling for this site to be changed to residential use. I very much welcome this and look forward to the day when we have families moving onto the site.”
A number of residents raised concerns development of the site would lead to parking problems and traffic congestion but the committee voted in favour of the scheme.
