TWO MEN have appeared in court this morning charged with causing the death of two men in a collision in Sedgley earlier this year.

The pair - 22 year-old Michael William Allen, of Heath Green, Dudley and 25 year-old Simon Lee Skidmore, of Tipton Road Sedgley, appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court.

Allen, who was dressed in black trousers, a white shirt and a dark tie, had his left arm in plaster, as he spoke to confirm his name and address to the court.

He is facing two charges of causing death by driving a Honda Civic dangerously and killing 24 year-old Daniel Eales and Tim Morris, aged 22, following the collision on Tipton Road on the night of April 8.

Skidmore, who also spoke just to confirm his name and address, wore jeans and a zip-up top, as he too faces the two same charges of death by dangerous driving of a Mazda vehicle.

The case has been moved to Wolverhampton Crown Court for trial.

The pair will next appear at Wolverhampton on November 7 for a plea and directions hearing.

Magistrates granted Skidmore unconditional bail, while Allen was given conditional bail with instructions not to have contact with a female "crucial witness" to the case.
