Generous shoppers help out Sedgley's St John Ambulance

THE funds of the Sedgley division of St John Ambulance have been boosted thanks to generous shoppers at a Kingswinford supermarket.

Volunteers from the first aid charity held a collection at Morrisions in Stallings Lane from May 20 – 22 and raised £520.48.

Charlotte Parker, Public Relations and Fundraising Officer for St John Ambulance West Midlands, said: “I would like to thank the generous and caring customers of Morrisons. “Every year, up to 150,000 people die in situations where first aid could have given them a chance to live. The generosity of people who donated during the collections will help us to carry on our life saving work and be the difference between lives lost and lives saved.”
