BREAKING NEWS: Guilty pleas for schoolgirl stabber
3:04pm Friday 23rd September 2011 in Pensnett
AN 18-year-old Sedgley man has pleaded guilty of attempting to murder a Stourbridge teenager as she walked to school earlier this year.
Samuel Gayzer-Tomlinson, of Turls Hill Road, is currently appearing before Wolverhampton Crown Court this afternoon.
He pleaded guilty to attempting to murder Chloe West, who was 14 at the time of the stabbing, outside Ridgewood High School in Wollaston on April 1.
The former Bishop Milner pupil has also pleaded guilty to unlawfully wounding former Ridgewood student Ben Hudson, who jumped in to try and stop the attack, and guilty to possessing an offensive weapon - an eight-inch kitchen knife.
Chloe - a pupil at the Park Road West school - suffered neck, face and upper body injuries during the incident.
The judge is expected to start summing up the case shortly.
