STAFF from a service offering advice for older people are set to hit the streets of Sedgley.

Members of the Living Well, Feeling Safe team will be visiting homes around the area on Monday April 29 and Tuesday April 30.

They will be offering free home assessments where advice, tips and practical help will be provided on home safety and security, as well as keeping comfortable, independent and well.

A drop in service will also be available at Sedgley and District Community Association, Ladies Walk, on Friday May 3, starting at 10am until 3pm.

Councillor Steve Waltho, Dudley cabinet member for adult and community services, said: “The living well, feeling safe service is ideal for any older person or couple who are feeling vulnerable, isolated, in need of support or those who are simply concerned about safety in the home or their own personal safety.

Living well, feeling safe is a partnership made up of Dudley Council, Age UK, West Midlands Police, Victim Support and West Midlands Fire Service.
