UNEMPLOYED young people in Dudley have been putting construction training to good use creating new children's centre facilities.

A team from Sedgley Prince's Trust run by West Midlands Police and Wolverhampton City College built a new sensory garden wildlife and fairytale area at the Priory Children's Centre in Limes Road.

The team raised £800 to pay for tools and materials for the project through bag packs at Asda in Halesowen and the Co-Op in Sedgley.

Debbie Ions, childcare manager at Priory Children's Centre, said: "The project has made a fantastic improvement to out garden area , when the babies look outside now they can see nature and they have there own play area where they can have extra fun.

"The fairy garden is fantastic and the children have been using this at story time a lot of our children do not get the chance to experience nature and this will help develop there skills and knowledge."
