90-year-old woman dies after Sedgley road smash

AN elderly woman badly injured after being hit by a van in Sedgley yesterday (Thursday) has died.
The 90-year-old woman suffered serious head and hand injuries in the crash which happened at around 11am on Sandyfields Road.
She was airlifted to the region’s major trauma unit at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital but later died.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact PC Simon Frost by calling 101.
