The Mary Steven Hospice is proud to announce the Grand Opening of its new flagship outlet tomorrow, Friday 3rd September at 11.00am and is looking forward to welcoming all customers old and new.

Occupying the premises, which is well known to every Stourbridge resident, as the former Mark & Moody store, and more recently, Paperway, it is hoped that the historic move to the prominent position in the High Street will continue to raise the profile of Mary Stevens Hospice.

Trading from Stourbridge’s Victoria Passage for the past seventeen years, Mary Stevens Hospice Trading Company took over the lease on the premises on 9th July 2010, and work commenced immediately to transform it into a flagship outlet complete with coffee shop.

Due to the age of the building and the sheer size of the outlet it was always intended that the work would be carried out in two phases, with the prime objective being to have the outlet trading by the end of the summer, while the proposed coffee shop will be fully operational by the end of phase two.

Margaret Hill, a day Hospice patient who has given her wholehearted support to the Stourbridge based charity in recognition of the care and treatment she receives from Mary Stevens, and who launched her own texting campaign as a means of fundraising for the cause, will have a pivotal role in the proceedings as she has accepted the honour of cutting the ribbon and officially opening the outlet.

We would like as many people as possible to share in this special occasion and to take the time to browse around our latest outlet. A great deal of time and effort has gone into restoring the premises to its former glory, and we are confident that the Mary Stevens Hospice has succeeded in producing an outlet that all visitors to Stourbridge town will be proud to shop in. Light refreshments will be available following the ribbon cutting and in recognition of your valued support, vouchers will be handed out so that you can receive a 10% discount on your “Grand Opening” bargains.
