A man has appeared in court charged with stealing a £100,000 watch from the former owner of Crystal Palace Football Club.
Adam Yaro, 32, allegedly stole the high-value timepiece in London Road, Croydon, south London, on March 21.
Simon Jordan, chairman at the Selhurst Park club between 2000 and 2010, previously tweeted he had been “robbed at gunpoint” while in his car on the road.
Yaro appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with armed robbery, Scotland Yard said.
Yaro, of Catford Hill, south-east London, was remanded in custody and will next appear before magistrates at a date to be fixed.
