People can now raise issues with Dudley Council customer services directly with the launch of a new twitter feed.

Dudley Council Plus is now on twitter at @DudleyPlus

Staff, based in Castle Street, Dudley, deal with over 400,000 enquiries a year via the telephone, email or in person. But now people will be able to request information and report issues to them via the social media channel.

It could include reports of fly-tipping or pot holes as well as requests for opening times such as leisure centres and libraries.

Councillor Pete Lowe, cabinet member for finance and ICT services, said:

“More and more people are using twitter to communicate with the council and a convenient dedicated channel for reporting and requesting information is good news for people.

“We are always looking for new ways to engage with residents and give them direct access to information they need.”

People can also still access Dudley Council in person, or by calling 0300 5552345 or via email on dudleycouncilplus@dudley.gov.uk

Dudley Council communicates with thousands of people across the borough via its social media channels twitter, facebook, flickr and YouTube.

People can access them via the council’s website www.dudley.gov.uk
