The Mayor’s charities are in line for a few notes when a renowned Dudley choir takes to the stage in a special concert later this year.

The Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir is planning an evening of entertainment at Dudley Town Hall on March 23.

As well as top tunes from the popular choir the evening will also include top acts such as Jean Martyn, an international star of the concert keyboard and TV’s Britain’s Got Talent finalist 2011, and Cotwall End Primary School choir. The concert will be compered by Susie Riddell who plays Tracy Horrobin in Radio 4’s The Archers.

Councillor Melvyn Mottram, Mayor of Dudley, said:

“We always love to have the Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir performing in Dudley because people are always guaranteed a great night out.

“I am particularly delighted that they are also raising money for my chosen charities which will help them continue the brilliant work they do.”

Tickets for the concert cost £10 each and are available by calling the choir on 01384 838863 or Dudley Town Hall box office on 01384 812812.

A donation will be made to the Mayor’s charities for this year which are Diabetes UK: Stourbridge, Dudley and District Support Group and the Dudley Stroke Association.
