A new council news bulletin has been launched for Dudley borough residents to keep up to speed on latest information and events across the area.

As part of Dudley Council’s commitment to being a community council, it has launched the new free e-bulletin service.

The first Your Community Council bulletin was sent to residents this week, detailing latest news on new recycling and bin collection improvements, the Love Your Community campaign and the Armed Forces Day celebrations planned in the borough.

More than 1,000 residents signed up to receive emailed news and information from the council when they completed the hugely successful Big Question on council tax consultation earlier in the year.

Councillor David Sparks, leader of Dudley Council, said:

“We are committed to becoming a community council and a key part of this is to ensure we speak to residents and keep them informed on developments. The new bulletins will ensure people know the latest news on issues that matter to them and show them where their money is being spent.”

Councillor Pete Lowe, deputy leader of the council, said:

“The Big Question consultation was a massive success in its own right but we are delighted the high level of engagement it created has enabled us to establish this new, quick and free communication with our residents. We would urge residents across the borough to sign up to the bulletins by visiting the council website.”
