Free health checks for your bike

People can come along and get a free bike health check from Dr Bike at Netherton Park next week.

Dr Bike will make sure bikes have a clean bill of health on Wednesday August 8 from 1 to 4pm.

The Dr Bike session is organised as part of Dudley Council’s active travel project, which aims to encourage people to use the car less in and around Brierley Hill and cycle, walk and use public transport more.

The council’s sustainable travel team, which is leading on the project, will also be on hand to offer top travel tips and to hand out active travel packs which include maps identifying walking and cycling routes in and around the Brierley Hill area.

Councillor Judy Foster, cabinet member for transportation, said:

“This is a great opportunity for people of all ages to make sure their bikes are in top condition so they can cycle around the borough with confidence.”

To find out more about the active travel project or for a copy of the active travel pack, people should call 01384 815406 or 01384 815431.
