A DUDLEY pub bouncer who ejected a teenager unconscious onto a street has been cleared of causing grievous bodily harm.

At Worcester Crown Court Amiruldin Hosseni denied he had used an unlawful head-lock on 17-year-old Curtis Holdum at the Dog and Pheasant in Bromsgrove on July 27 last year.

Hosseni, a married father-of-four,of Wrekin View Road, claimed that he had used only a bear hug in carrying Mr Holdum from the pub and depositing him outside.

The court was told that the teenager was dragged backwards, losing his shoes, and losing consciousness. He was unable to protect himself with his arms and hit his face on the ground, breaking his jaw.

Prosecutor Walter Bealby said the job of a doorman was difficult, needing not only physical presence but also tact. Hosseni was adamant he had not used a head-lock.

Christopher Rodwell, defending, said witnesses disputed the defendant's claim that he had merely used an arm lock in removing Mr Holdum from the pub.

A jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict after an hour at the end of a three-day trial.
