A FASHION show hosted by an iconic Ludlow retailer at St Laurence's Church raised more than a thousand pounds for two good causes.

A total of £1,259 was raised for the church and Hope House at the event which was attended by nearly 150 people.

Monika and Roger Curry of Bodenhams said they are thrilled with the venue and the opportunity to display their autumn/winter collection using the catwalk which extended down the centre aisle.

Sue Bremner, parish administrator for St Laurence’s, said: “The church enjoys playing host to many large events including music, theatre and exhibitions.

"This was a magnificent way to use our church to welcome people from across the community. It also helped us raise much needed funds for both charities”.

The Venerable Colin Williams, rector of St Laurence’s, and Sarah Johnson, area fundraiser of Hope House, extended their thanks on behalf of both organisations for the fund-raising.
