THE unveiling of a hand-carved marker stone to highlight the northern end of the Cotswold Way trail is due to take place at the Old Market Hall, Chipping Campden, on Saturday November 8 at 12 noon.

Present at the ceremony will be Chipping Campden town mayor Councillor Christopher Jones and the marker stone's sculptor, Ian Cotton.

The carved Irish blue limestone disc will be laid in the pavement adjacent to the historic building. It mirrors a similar creation by Mr Cotton which marks the southern end of the 102-mile trail at Bath Abbey.
