TWO college students who are aiming to work with children in the future attended a special training course aimed at supporting bereaved families.

Chloe Bayliss, 18, and Jamie Brockett, 20, both from Kidderminster College attended the course run by The Foundation for Infant Loss Training.

Chloe, who wants to be a midwife, said: “Infant loss is not talked about very much but the course was full of practical tips on how health professionals can best support bereaved families.”

Jamie, who wants to be a paediatric nurse, said: “It was good to attend this course and find out more about this emotionally challenging aspect of working with families.”

Both learners received certificates which will support their CVs as they apply to go to university.
