MARK Grist and MC Mixy are coming to town to battle. Their backup? An assortment of famous (and very dead) poets.

Mark Grist is a lyrical poet and MC Mixy an accomplished rapper.

Together they present a comedy poetry show where they attempt to convince the audience of the prowess of several dead poets.

Each performer has chosen their four favourite dead poets and the audience decides which two will meet each other in a rap battle.

It’s fast, it’s frantic and they have no idea who will win.

Fancy seeing Sylvia Plath take on Ted Hughes?

How about Rabbie Burns up against Byron?

In the Dead Poets Death Match you’ll choose the competitors and you’ll be the ones who’ll crown the winner. Let the wordy bloodbath begin!

The show, suitable for those aged 16 plus, is at the venue's Room Upstairs on Friday, May 8 starting at 7.45pm.

Tickets are available in person or at the box office on 01527 65203 priced £13.25 (£11.75 discount) inclusive of booking fee 75p per ticket up to a maximum £3 or you can purchase seats online at redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk.
