Older people looking to oust technology troubles that come with getting online can get help at a borough libraries.

The Spring Online initiative runs until April 26 at libraries across the borough, where free taster sessions will be offered.

Different events will be held including how to use the internet and email, download e-books, view online magazines, tracing their family trees and more.

Deborah Harkins, Dudley chief officer for libraries said: “Getting online can help us connect with family and friends far away as well as find out about activities we can get involved in close to home.

“We are delighted to be supporting Spring Online week with a range of specific events aimed at older people.”

Spring Online events will take place for one hour starting at 11am at Halesowen Library on Wednesday April 22 and Long Lane Library on Thursday April 23.
