DETERMINED to dispel myths, and breakdown cultural and religious barriers, Dudley Central Mosque has organised a two-day exhibition to discuss their religion and its links to other faiths.

Exhibition Islam will be held at Dudley Town Hall and aims to promote and foster better understandings between communities and give people the chance to explore the heritage of one of the world’s oldest and talked about religions.

The internationally acclaimed interactive and educational exhibition is open to people of all ages, backgrounds and faiths and is free to attend.

Dudley Mosque chairman, Mohammed Aurangzeb said: “This innovative and aspiring exhibition is coming to Dudley for the first time and we are truly excited.

"We hope it will help to further our friendship, understanding, cultural and religious awareness.

"We look forward to increased engagement and understanding with local people.”

Guests representing other faiths from the area have been invited including the Bishop of Dudley Rt Revd Graham Usher.

Refreshments will be provided at the event, which will give visitors the opportunity to meet and exchange views, share their own values and beliefs and marvel at the many artefacts, models of holy places and exhibits on display.

The event will run from 9am to 7pm on Friday June 5 and 9am to 6pm on Saturday June 6.
