CHILDREN from Acorns Children's Hospice are helping people to spread some good will this year by designing some of the charity's latest range of Christmas cards.

The range includes three seasonal designs created by children cared for by the charity with all proceeds from sales going to Acorns and its work caring for life-limited and life-threatened children and young people.

Val Hammond, retail regional manager for Acorns, said: “We’re delighted with this year’s selection of Christmas cards, which are available to buy from Acorns shops across the region.

"There’s a fantastic range of designs to choose from and whatever your taste, there will be the right card for you.”

The cards designed by children were created as part of an arts and crafts session at Acorns.

The sessions are part of therapeutic and fun opportunities provided by the charity to allow children to express themselves, regardless of ability.

She added: “Not only are these great seasonal cards to send to friends and family, but there’s the extra element that you’ll be helping support Acorns vital work providing care for children and support for their families.”
